Er legt die Nadel auf die Ader
He lays the needle in the vein
Und bittet die Musik herein
and he asks the music to come inside
Zwischen Hals und Unterarm
between his throat and forearm
Die Melodie fährt leise ins Gebein
the melody travels softly in the bones
Los! Los! Los!
Go! Go! Go!
Bop bop shu bop
Bop bop shu bop
Los! Los! Los!
Go! Go! Go!
Er hat die Augen zugemacht
He has closed his eyes
In seinem Blut tobt eine Schlacht
a battle rages in his blood
Ein Heer marschiert durch seinen Darm
an army marches through his bowel
Die Eingeweide werden langsam warm
the intestines become warm slowly
Los! Los! Los!
Go! Go! Go!
Bop bop shu bop
Bop bop shu bop
Los! Los! Los!
Go! Go! Go!
Los! Los! Los!
Go! Go! Go!
Bop bop shu bop
Bop bop shu bop
Los! Los! Los!
Go! Go! Go!
Nichts ist für dich
Nothing is for you
Nichts war für dich
nothing was for you
Nichts bleibt für dich
nothing remains for you
Für immer
Forever
Nichts ist für dich
Nothing is for you
Nichts war für dich
nothing was for you
Nichts bleibt für dich
nothing remains for you
Für immer
Forever
Er nimmt die Nadel von der Ader
He takes the needle from the vein
Die Melodie fährt aus der Haut
the melody travels out of the skin
Geigen brennen mit Gekreisch
violins burn with shrieking
Harfen schneiden sich ins Fleisch
harps cut the flesh
Er hat die Augen aufgemacht
he has opened his eyes
Doch er ist nicht aufgewacht
but he is not awake
Nichts ist für dich
Nothing is for you
Nichts war für dich
nothing was for you
Nichts bleibt für dich
nothing remains for you
Für immer
forever
Nichts ist für dich
Nothing is for you
Nichts war für dich
nothing was for you
Nichts bleibt für dich
nothing remains for you
Für immer
Forever
The title of this song translates to english as "Bye". You may recognize the similarity to the Spanish word for the same concept. Of course, every Western European language is based on German, which is based on Latin. Therefore, it can be expected that the other languages of the region would show great similarities to the language that spawned their own language.
In the word zugemacht, it is a compound word: "zu" (pronounced: "zoo") having to do with time, specifically the past; "ge" (pronounced: "guh") being the marker of the adverb; and "macht" (pronounced: maachht), meaning "to make". (It's amazing what you can learn from a teacher on crack!)
The word "aufgemacht" is very similar, except the "auf" (prounounced: ow-fff) having to do with time, specifically the present.
